There's a lot to say about this new release...
I worked hard for three months to build gimpgallery (http://gimpgallery.net), it have been just released...
So i had many ideas about how to improve inkscape gallery, i was tired and anxious at the same time...
The second feeling won and i'm here to list what i've done in the last days:

The home page4 new sections called:fresh, mostvoted, older and popular
The inkscape galleria
it is a slideshow made with a jquery plugin, it is quite smart and fast, just to give you another way to see what is in inkscape gallery
The user's inkscape galleria
Every user has his own galleria , just click on the link in the title block of each image content
Some layout improvements
In a big website you will always have something you fixed with a workaround, not in the best way, in other words...
I've found better solutions now
The "from the inksape world" section
It is the upper section in the home page.
This was not an hard work but is important i mean, just because i'd like to work together eith other inkscape based website.
The wysiwygAs you might see reading this text we have a simple wysiwyg editor now. It works only for registered users anyway
The antispam framework
we never had critical spam problems, you may directly publish in inkscape gallery only when logged in, indeed.
but we have user profiles, with email fields and i wanted to keep it safe from spam. So, don't worry anymore, the email field is protected from spam, now
The gimpgallery promo
I wanted to make you know about gimp gallery. It is the second born in this project and it is the most advanced actually. It is freshly born so, if your a gimper, go to publish your images!
This is what,
i wil publish a list of my projects to bring inkscape gallery to the next release!
See you,
Da.
