CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Janis Doucette called a local pool cleaning company to get an estimate on getting her pool ready for summer. The $80 per week estimate just didn’t work for her, so she started to research and learned how to clean a pool herself.
“You can’t stop people from coming, but you can do what you can to keep it as clean and comfortable as possible,” said Doucette, a 53-year-old nurse from Charleston.
